The place deserved 3 stars. The location was marvellous, for example, St Paul's Church was at a moderate distance from the hotel. Moreover, it's near to the center of the historical part of town, the old church and the bridge, river and hills. We were there for 1 night and felt would stay here again...

The guest rooms at Casa Cardeal Saraiva are absolutely amazing! I felt like I was at home with a flat-screen TV and a fully equipped kitchen in my room. The private bathroom was a nice touch, and some rooms even offered a stunning city view. The kettle came in handy for my morning coffee, and the hairdryer and bed linen were provided. I couldn't have asked for more!

Honestly, I can't think of anything negative about my stay. It was just perfect!
